Hello Readers!

About a year ago I shared a post around the time of the first mobile update from Google, that update was on April 21, 2015 to be exact, known asMobile search Mobilegeddon to some. Well, here I am a little over a year later to tell you about part II of the mobile update from Google.  Reported yesterday (May 12, 2016) by the folks over at Search Engine Land, this update is being referred to as the “Mobile Friendly Algorithm Boost“.

You can read all of the pretty short article on the Search Engine Land blog, but let me distill it down to what you need to know.

  1. Mobile traffic continues to grow
  2. More searches originate on mobile devices than on desktop
  3. You need to be checking your website for mobile compatibility
  4. You need to get it mobile if it’s not!

That’s it.  If you have any questions about your website and if it’s ready for all these mobile updates, give us a call.  You can also check using the Google Mobile-Friendly Tool.
